Guidance by Scenic City Garage Coatings. Reviewed October 6, 2026. Planning information; onsite suitability is confirmed by the contractor.
Confirm who will do the work
Ask for the business name on the proposal and invoice, who prepares the slab, and who supervises the installation. Request the credentials relevant to your project and check their status through the appropriate issuer. This website does not publish unverified licenses or certifications on a contractor’s behalf.
Ask for relevant project evidence
A clear photo of a finished garage helps with appearance, but a project similar to your slab condition is more informative. Ask about old coating removal, repairs and the proposed finish. Obtain permission before contacting references. Illustrations on this site are not evidence of that contractor’s work.
Compare the preparation and system
Each proposal should identify surface preparation, moisture assessment, repair assumptions, layer names and permitted return to use. Use the quote checklist to record differences. Ask the contractor to explain a missing line item rather than assuming it is included.
Make the agreement usable after installation
Read the actual warranty terms, care instructions and process for follow-up concerns. Ask how unexpected conditions affect price and approval during preparation.
Request a Chattanooga-area coating conversation with your floor details. Confirm the contractor’s business identity and final scope before entering an installation agreement.
