Describe the room’s history
Record previous coverings, adhesive, dampness, recurring residue and any observed water path. Include the floor-wall junction, drains and repaired areas in photos. Tell the assessor whether a problem occurs after rain or cleaning without treating the pattern as a diagnosis.
Set the boundary between finishing and water repair
Ask whether the proposed scope covers only the coating or includes another documented intervention. If water intrusion needs a different specialist, resolve that recommendation before installation. The moisture guide covers product-specific assessment questions.
Plan indoor access and use
Discuss stairs, occupied rooms, contents, ventilation and how access is managed during work. Ask when each room activity may resume and obtain the installed system’s care instructions.
