Show where water actually collects
Photograph water you have observed under normal use, record the source and mark the area on a plan. Do not intentionally flood the garage for a test. Note whether water arrives through the door, from a vehicle or from another source that requires investigation.
Define the drain and joint details
Ask who protects the drain opening and how the coating will terminate at its edge. Record which grates, covers or fittings remain accessible. A clean-looking finish should not bury a serviceable component or silently change an intended water route.

Keep correction work separate
If the proposal includes leveling, sloping or resurfacing, ask what area changes, which material is used and how the result will be assessed. A floor coating line item should not imply that standing water will disappear.
Explain wet use and cleaning in the project request. The contractor should consider the desired texture and slip conditions alongside the drainage conversation.
