Make a moving plan with owners
List shelves, appliances, cabinets, stored boxes and loose equipment. Agree who removes each item, where it goes during the work and who returns it. Do not assume the coating contractor includes moving heavy contents.
Resolve fixed footprints
If cabinets remain, mark the excluded floor on a sketch. If they will move, include the revealed slab and any old anchors or stains in the assessment. The floor measurement guide helps keep included and excluded areas clear.
Plan the return of storage separately from walking
Ask when shelving feet, loaded cabinets and rolling equipment may return. A walk-on time does not automatically release the floor for every load. Obtain the activity-specific use schedule in writing.
Before installation, use the garage preparation checklist. Include fixed items and moving constraints with your project request so the first conversation covers more than color.
