Assign the clearing work
List shelves, freezers, cabinets, vehicles and heavy equipment. Confirm what you will move, what the contractor includes and what stays fixed. Arrange safe storage and weather protection without blocking the access path.
Make the work route usable
Ask where equipment will enter, what driveway space is needed and how doors, tracks and nearby surfaces will be protected. Discuss power and ventilation requirements with the contractor; do not assume the ordinary garage layout meets every need.
Preserve the slab history
Tell the contractor about cleaners, old paint, sealer, oil and previous patches. Do not apply a new sealer or acid treatment as a favor before installation. It can change the surface the contractor agreed to assess.
Plan the return of the room
Obtain separate instructions for walking, vehicles, shelving and heavy rolling loads. The cure schedule guide helps define these activities. If a fridge or fixed storage unit needs special handling, include it in the storage plan.
Use the handover checklist to agree on the records you will receive after installation. Include access constraints and fixed contents with your project request.
