Get a product-specific care sheet
Record the recommended cleaner, dilution, tool and rinse method. Sika’s flooring maintenance resource illustrates why the installed system matters. Do not borrow a cleaning recipe from a different coating without checking compatibility.
Start with loose material
Remove grit using the permitted soft tool before wet cleaning. Take care around stored equipment and the doorway. Follow the care sheet for spill response rather than escalating to a harsh chemical because a mark remains.
Handle unfamiliar marks as a question
Photograph an unknown stain and tell the contractor what may have caused it. Avoid repeated experiments with stronger products. If the finish lifts, blisters or softens, treat that as an assessment issue rather than more dirt to scrub off.

Keep care instructions with handover records
Store the product names, invoice and approved care sheet together. Use the final inspection checklist to request these records before returning the garage to normal use.
