Separate area from the work needed below the finish
Measure the slab and list vertical surfaces, steps or thresholds separately. Use the measurement worksheet rather than estimating from the number of cars. Describe old paint, oil, peeling and visible damage beside the dimensions.
Put the price variables on separate lines

Compare changes before accepting the quote
Ask what finding would change the scope, who authorizes extra work and how that change is documented. A low total that excludes removal cannot be directly compared with a complete removal-and-rebuild proposal.
