Start with the date the garage must be usable
List which activities must resume: walking, vehicles, storage or workshop equipment. Ask the contractor to work backward from that need using the selected products and expected onsite conditions. Installation completion and unrestricted use are different milestones.
Make an access and weather contingency
Confirm who will notify you if conditions fall outside the product requirements and when the decision is made. Ask how contents will be protected if a delay extends temporary storage. Do not assume a particular month guarantees acceptable conditions.
Schedule related work in a defined order
Discuss painting, cabinet changes, repairs or other contractors who need the room. Agree on which tasks happen before coating and what contact with the finished floor is permitted afterward.
