Garage Floor Crack Repair

A garage crack-repair scope should identify which lines are treated, the chosen material and preparation, and any limit on movement or final appearance. Repair for coating is not a promise that the slab will stop moving.

Guidance by Scenic City Garage Coatings. Reviewed October 6, 2026. Planning information; onsite suitability is confirmed by the contractor.

Mark the included lines

Use a floor sketch with photos and note previous repairs or observed changes. Ask the contractor to distinguish planned joints from cracks before deciding on treatment.

Specify repair and coating compatibility

The proposal should name the material, how it is prepared and how it fits the installation sequence. Confirm whether the price includes a measured amount or an allowance, and how extra work is authorized.

Record expected visibility

Ask what may remain visible and what happens if a repaired line changes later. Read the homeowner crack guide and warranty worksheet.

If a concern needs evaluation beyond the coating scope, resolve it first. Send the line map with your project request; suitability and final treatment require contractor assessment.
