Ask for the product and its purpose
Record the name rather than only the resin family. Is the primer proposed for the manufacturer’s ordinary system build, a specific substrate condition or another documented purpose? The answer should reference the product data, not the color of the liquid.
Keep moisture claims specific
If a primer is described as moisture tolerant or a moisture-control layer, ask which test and limit apply and whether the floor meets them. Different products can have different requirements. Read the moisture evaluation scope before interpreting a broad sales phrase.
Confirm preparation and the next layer
Ask how the slab will be prepared, which base or broadcast layer follows, and what timing or surface preparation connects the layers. The system layer guide helps keep these relationships visible.
Do not add a separately purchased primer to a contractor’s build without agreement. Compatibility and installation conditions belong to the specified system. Include the substrate observations in your project inquiry and request a complete written build.
